Collision on John Puryear Drive Leaves One Injured

A collision on John Puryear Drive Tuesday afternoon left one person injured.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to an accident at the intersection of John Puryear Drive and the entrance to Hodges Convenience Store at 12:21 pm.  

An investigation showed that 76-year-old Eugene Hawkins was driving from Husband Road across John Puryear Drive, and struck a car driven by 36-year-old Barbara Godfrey.

Godfrey's passenger, 41-year-old Melissa Swain of Paducah, was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
