The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says crews are patching potholes along I-24 in both directions today.

Workers will be patching holes between the 2 and 17 mile markers in McCracken County, requiring traffic to move to the left-hand or passing lane.

This will be a moving work caravan. but there are several potholes that will require the crew to work in the same area for an extended period of time

Drivers should watch for trucks with arrow boards directing traffic to shift lanes, and expect slowing or merging traffic.

Crews should finish their work by about 2:30 pm.

Recent wide temperature swings and extended periods of rain have combined to provide ideal conditions for potholes to develop.
