Dogwood Trail Signs Go Up Around Town
By WestKyStar Staff
PADUCAH - Tuesday from dawn until mid-afternoon, City Street Department crew members installed 16.5 miles of Dogwood Trail signs throughout Paducah.

Each time the trail "turns" there's a sign to make sure you stay on track. The signs mark the route for locals and visitors alike to view blooming dogwood trees, many lighted at dark. And it all begins as soon as the trees open their blooms, generally mid-April. Of course, the trees have bloomed as early as mid-March. It's a guessing game each spring.

The 2019 Dogwood Trail officially starts at Whitehaven Visitors Center, but drivers, walkers or bikers can follow the trail starting anywhere they see a sign.

With less than five weeks until Spring officially arrives, it gives us hope for sunny skies, warm weather and lots of blooming trees and flowers.
