Dr. Martin Rains Joins Baptist Health Heart Group

Martin Rains, MD, has joined Baptist Health Medical Group Heart Group.
 
Dr. Rains returns home to Paducah after nearly 14 years of medical training at the University of Kentucky. Board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology and interventional cardiology; he has completed advanced training in cardiology, including structural heart disease and peripheral vascular interventions.
 
A Paducah Tilghman graduate, Dr. Rains graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown College before earning a medical degree from the University of Kentucky in 2007. He went on to complete a four-year residency in internal medicine and pediatrics, serving as chief resident, then served as clinical instructor and chief resident in the Internal Medicine program for an additional year.
 
Dr. Rains completed a general cardiology fellowship in 2015, serving as chief fellow, and an interventional cardiology fellowship in 2017. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Kentucky Medical Association.
