Entrance and exit ramps for I-24's Exit 4 were officially opened for regular traffic last night.

A paint truck finished striping turn lanes, and concrete barricades were removed at each ramp.

Construction of the double diamond crossover project began in March, and the ramps have been closed since July 8.

Drivers are advised to be alert and prepared for the changes in traffic flow in the new and for some unfamiliar configuration.

Construction activities will continue along the work zone between New Holt Road and Coleman Road in coming weeks, including additional asphalt paving.

Completion of the $9 million project is scheduled for November 20.
