A McCracken County father and son were arrested on drug and firearm charges after an investigation that lasted several months.
 
According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, detectives received information regarding George W. Walker being involved in illegal drug activity along with possessing firearms. Walker is a convicted felon and prohibited by law from possessing firearms.

Detectives executed a search warrant Monday afternoon and located Walker and his son, 18-year-old Andrew A. Walker inside a home on Husband Road. 
 
Detectives located marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, assorted items of drug paraphernalia, and a loaded 9mm Ruger handgun, which was found to be stolen. The handgun had been reported stolen by a McCracken County resident 18 days earlier. 
 
Both George and Andrew Walker were arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail. Both were charged with numerous drug and firearm offenses.
