Both services will be offered from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, but will now be done first row of the courthouse parking lot, instead of the back section (see the photo provided by the Sheriff's Department for location, how to enter, wait in line, get an inspection or fingerprint, and exit the area). Signs and cones are in place to guide vehicles for the drive-thru services.
Anyone needing an inspection must have $5 cash or a check written to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office. When entering the parking lot, drivers must be wearing a mask and follow the directions given. The deputy will perform the inspection, complete paperwork and receive the payment. The vehicle owner may then park in the front portion of the parking lot and visit the County Clerk's office, or come back on another day for registration needs.
The mobile fingerprinting station will be in the same location. Those being fingerprinted should be wearing a mask and must bring their own hand sanitizer to use before being fingerprinted. A deputy will check temperatures of anyone who comes, and will allow fingerprinting if the person's temperature is under 100.4 degrees. A $10 payment must be made on-site by cash or a check made payable to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office. Anyone being fingerprinted must bring what might be necessary to clean their own hands afterwards.
