Cindy Earls and Jessye Bostwick will talk about how quilting became a popular occupation for women by the mid-1880's, when quilt patterns were exchanged and quilting fads began. Local farmwomen were a part of the national popularity and found quiltying an outlet to express their thoughts, feelings and appreciation for their natural surroundings and everyday experiences.
The presentation is at 7 pm in the 2nd floor meeting room. All events at the library are free and open to the public.
