The Paducah-McCracken County Habitat for Humanity is taking applications for its newest home being built in Paducah at 2901 Virginia Street.

Anyone interested in applying will have to meet certain residency, income and need requirements, and will have to submit their application by Aug. 28 at 5 p.m.

Applications can be submitted at the Habitiat office located at 100 Fountain Avenue, Suite 207. You can also apply online at paducahhabitat.org.

"We build simple, decent, affordable energy-efficient homes in partnership with qualifying low-income families," The organization says on its website. "Paducah-McCracken County Habitat for Humanity builds homes and strengthens families and communities. A habitat house is simple, decent, and affordable. It is small, low maintenance, and energy efficient. There are no frills—no basement, no garage."
