The Midtown Alliance of Neighbors is accepting applications for its 2019 Homebuyer Program.
The alliance will be building three homes in the 1400 block of Harrison Street, right across from the playground at the Pat and Jim Brockenborough Rotary Health Park.
Each shotgun style home will be about 1,200 square feet with three bedrooms and two baths. These homes are intended to be affordable for low- to moderate-income families. To make these homes affordable, they will subsidize the construction and/or loan costs with funds from several sources. Individuals and families with incomes at or below 80% of the HUD area median income may be able to qualify to purchase one of these homes.
Construction is anticipated to start this fall once buyers have been identified, with completion by summer of 2020.
More information about the program, income limits, and the process may be found in the attached brochure (see photos) and on the organization's website (www.kymidtownalliance.org).
