A two-vehicle crash on I-24 Saturday sent two people to the hospital.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, the collision happened around 2:30 pm at the 10 mile marker. Deputies said 69-year-old Loretta Doom of Kuttawa was traveling west and approaching an emergency turnaround. 46-year-old Steven Penney, of Benton, was traveling behind Doom when she made an abrupt stop to use the turn around.

Penney was unable to stop and rear-ended Doom's vehicle.

Penney and Doom were both transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
