A check on a pedestrian walking along I-24 led to that person's arrest early Saturday morning.

McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched at 1:39 am to check on a woman walking along the interstate near the 1-mile marker. They spoke to 41-year-old Amanda E. Fasolo of Metropolis, and learned that there was a McCracken County warrant for her arrest on a charge of failure to appear in court.

When Fasolo was being taken into custody, a search of her bag revealed suspected methamphetamine, a meth-smoking pipe and numerous Tramadol pills. She faces additional charges of possession of a controlled substance 1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fasolo was taken to McCracken County Jail.
