An investigation into a fight at a Paducah home led to numerous charges for a local man.

On Friday, while working on an investigation, the McCracken County Sheriff's Office say they learned that a suspect, 35-year-old Dwight Brewer of Paducah, was at a home with home where an altercation had taken place.

Deputies say the investigation revealed that Brewer pulled out a handgun and shot the gun in close proximity to many people, then allegedly fled the area before law enforcement arrived. Deputies say Brewer is a convicted felon and can not legally own a firearm.

On Monday, deputies located Brewer and took him into custody. He is being charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and five counts of first degree wanton endangerment.
