A Kevil man is facing drug trafficking charges after a collision in Paducah.

The Paducah Police Department responded to the collision between 13th and Jefferson streets at approximately 11 PM on Saturday. When arriving on the scene officers were told that a man had fled on foot from one of the vehicles involved in the accident. A short time later officers located the man matching the description provided to officers from people at the scene.

As officers approached the man was allegedly seen throwing things from his pockets as he fled. The man, identified as 43-year-old Andrew Allen, was caught a short time later. Detectives traced his steps and say they were able to locate plastic bags containing cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and a digital scale.

Allen was arrested and is facing charges related to second-degree fleeing or evading police, two counts of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, and public intoxication.

Allen was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
