Dogwood Trail co-chair Dabney Haugh reminds us, "There is still time to light your trees, plants, flags and front doors for judging TONIGHT-Tuesday evening and the trolley ride on Thursday. Also, the quilters will start coming in this weekend, so please keep your lights up as long as you can. The quilters love to be welcomed by the dogwoods."
The trail has some new twists and turns this spring leading drivers, walkers and bicyclists through a few new neighborhoods. Jackie Smith, Dogwood co-chair says, "We like to add new neighborhoods each year to show off more of the city's dogwoods. Paducah seems to be more beautiful than ever this year. Please light your blooming trees, flags and homes. Let's remind everyone why we are known for our hospitality."
Paducah's CBB, in conjunction with the City of Paducah, sponsors the annual Dogwood Trail. Even the azaleas are opening just in time to add more of spring's beauty to the city. Signs along the 16-mile trail have been up for weeks - the path is marked. Now citizens are urged to LIGHT UP!
