Lily Pad at Easter Seals Receives $1000 Donation

PADUCAH, KY - The Community Foundation of West Kentucky awarded $1000 for The Lily Pad at Easter Seals West Kentucky. The donation will be used to provide napping cots and other supplies for children who enroll at The Lily Pad in the fall of 2013.
Easter Seals West Kentucky is in the beginning stages of implementing a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) program, called The Lily Pad. The program will provide enhanced childcare to Western Kentucky families with children facing complex medical issues. Services will include daily skilled nursing, customized service plans, therapeutic and developmental interventions, as well as family support resources. Construction of The Lily Pad will begin in May 2013.

Everyone associated with the Community Foundation of West Kentucky fully supports the Lilly Pad and will continue to support the program as its grows to better serve this community” stated Tony Watkins of the Community Foundation of West Kentucky.
Easter Seals West Kentucky represents nearly half a century of helping people with physical and cognitive impairments to gain greater independence by providing quality services. Begun in 1954 through the merger of the McCracken County Cerebral Palsy Organization and the Crippled Children's Clinic, Easter Seals West Kentucky serves 19 counties in western Kentucky, plus areas in southern Illinois.
