Kentucky State Police say 24-year-old Russell Farmer was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The investigation was initiated after discovering Farmer distributing prepubescent child sexual abuse material online.
A search warrant was executed at a home in Paducah on Monday. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.
Farmer is currently charged with 20 counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, eight counts of distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor and one count of promoting a sexual act by a minor under 16 years old.
He was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
