Lourdes Foundation's 16th annual charity golf open raised more than $83,000 at the annual event held on Monday, August 31 at the Country Club of Paducah. The tournament hosted a total of 50 teams, with 200 golfers and volunteers participating.

"We are very humbled by the generosity of our donors and community," said Steven Grinnell, Lourdes president and CEO. "With this funding, the healing ministry of Lourdes can be extended even further, providing compassionate, excellent care to more members of our community in need."

The Lourdes Foundation Charity Golf Open has raised nearly $850,000 in the past 16 years.

"This golf outing is one of our biggest fundraisers each year," said Tara Miller, foundation president. "The sponsors and donors who participate make such a tremendous difference because their support is used by Lourdes Foundation to fund important projects that bring better healthcare to our community."

Rick's Electric won first place in the morning flight with team members Chris Grooms, Mitchell Grooms, Jojo Summers and Jason Siener.

Hilliard Lyons took the first place prize in the afternoon. Team members included Brent Denker, Kevin Baer, Darren Pollentier and Michael Byers.

Two tickets to the 2016 Masters practice round were awarded to Mark Moore, playing on the Ray Black and Son team. As winner of the Masters Shootout Challenge, Mark bested over 30 other golfers in a closest to the pin contest to win the prize.
