Maiden Alley 'Oktoberfest' Today in Paducah
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - Plenty of beer, sausage, music and fun will be served up today in downtown Paducah at Maiden Alley's ninth annual Oktoberfest celebration.

The event runs Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. downtown (Maiden Alley / Broadway / Water Street / Market House). It will feature craft beer from across the state and region, live music, art vendors and a German car show. There will also be a Bavarian food spread provided by Kirchhoff's.

The fun keeps on going after 5, with the Maiden Alley Oktoberfest After Party from 5-7:30 p.m. with live music at the second stage on Broadway.

Landee Bryant with Maiden Alley Cinema says Oktoberfest is an important fundraiser for the theater, and over the years it's brought in some big crowds and has been a lot of fun.

"We are a non-profit cinematic art house. We do film, live music, community outreach, lots of stuff people don't always know. This is an important part of our operating budget. It's a festival with beer, food and music, and we've realized that's a recipe for a good time, especially in downtown Paducah." she said.

General admission tickets are $20, which includes admission, one beer, and a commemorative stein. Kirchhoff's Bavarian food spread is an additional $15. Beer tickets are $5 each in advance, and $6 on the day of the event.

If you want to take it to the next level, you can purchase a Roof Brothers VIP Tasting Lounge ticket. You will receive a signature tasting glass, access to the lounge, and some unique and hard to find brews and snacks. It will be located in the soon to open Barrel & Bond, so you get a sneak peak of Paducah's newest bourbon bar and it will be right across the street from the second stage with amazing live music.
