A Tennessee man was arrested early Saturday morning after a short pursuit through Paducah.

Just before 12:30 am, a McCracken County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to pull over a driver on Lone Oak Road for traffic violations, but the man would not comply. Instead, he led the deputy on a pursuit, but eventually stopped on North 10th Street.

The driver, identified as 29-year-old Patrick Polk of Union City, was arrested for driving 26 mph or more over the speed limit, fleeing or evading police in a vehicle, reckless driving, disregarding a stop sign, wanton endangerment of a police officer, DUI 1st offense with aggravating circumstances, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle and failure to produce an insurance card.

Polk was taken to McCracken County Detention Center.
