A Princeton man was arrested Friday morning after police say he damaged a hotel room and several cars in the parking lot of a neighboring hotel.

The Paducah Police Department says officers were called to the 3900 block of Hinkleville Road at 6:22 a.m. after hotel employees reported 37-year-old Jeremy Sarcinella was destroying property.

Officers found Sarcinella in a creek behind the hotel throwing large rocks, and had to wade into the water to take him into custody.

The hotel manager showed officers damage to the room, and they reportedly found a bag of suspected methamphetamine on the bathroom sink and a joint next to the bed.

Officers said several vehicles’ windshields were broken, and their hoods were damaged from the rocks Sarcinella had thrown.

He was booked into McCracken County Jail on charges of first-degree possession of meth, possession of marijuana and first-degree criminal mischief.
