A Paducah man previously being sought by police on child abuse charges has been located.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says Anson Dykes of Paducah was charged with fourth degree assault, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia in December after his three month old son was diagnosed with a spiral femur fracture. Dykes told deputies he was changing the boy's diaper when he heard his leg pop, but doctors reportedly said that could not have caused the fracture.

Dykes was indicted May 10 on a charge of second degree criminal abuse involving a child under the age of 12, after pleading guilty to the assault and drug charges.

Deputies had been searching for Dykes since his indictment. He was found and arrested Monday and was booked into the McCracken County jail.
