On Monday, police said a Paducah man crashed his truck into an apartment in Farley, trapping another man inside the apartment.

McCracken County deputies said that a brown pickup collided with the back of a parked vehicle owned by 47-year-old Shane Phillips, pushing it through the front wall of Phillips' apartment.

The owner of the truck, 31-year-old Randy Lowery of Paducah, fled on foot before officers arrived. The Reidland-Farley Fire Department helped Phillips out of the apartment while deputies searched the area for Lowery.

Phillips told officers that Lowery had left his apartment after having an argument with him, and that Phillips had just walked back inside the apartment when the vehicle came through the front door and wall.

Lowery was found a short time later and taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries. He was then arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.

Lowery is charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance (aggravated circumstances), first degree criminal mischief, first degree wanton endangerment, operating a vehicle on a suspended or revoked license, failure to maintain insurance, expired registration plates, and leaving the scene of an accident.
