Man Faces Disorderly Conduct Charge in McCracken

An Illinois man is facing numerous charges in McCracken County after detectives say they saw him attempting to assault a woman.

On Wednesday, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office were driving past Kountry Kastle when they reportedly noticed a man identified as 27-year-old Dandre Lewis of Murphysboro, Illinois, throwing rocks at a woman.

According to detectives, the woman was nearly in the roadway while attempting to avoid being struck by the rocks when detectives intervened and detained Lewis.

Lewis was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Jail. He is being charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
