Melanie Martin of Paducah can add another title to her resume: dance champion.

Martin, a fitness instructor and professional bodybuilder, won the Grand Champion trophy at the 2019 Dancing With Our Stars Gala Saturday night at the Paducah Convention Center. She raised $20,576 for the American Cancer Society. Her efforts helped the annual fundraiser bring in a total of $52,708.

The winner is determined by which dance contestant raises the most money.

Second place went to Laurie Hines of Kevil, who works as an X-ray tech at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital. Third place went to Carson Beyer of Paducah, who is a professional singer/songwriter and now lives in Nashville.

Marty Grubbs of Paducah, a personal trainer at Genesis Strength & Fitness, was chosen as Fan Favorite and Crowd Favorite.

This was the 13th year for Dancing with Our Stars, which Lourdes began as a fundraiser for the ACS Relay of Life for McCracken County.
