Mayfield Man Arrested on Drug Trafficking Charges

MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A Mayfield man was arrested in McCracken County after an investigation into drug trafficking.

On Sunday, detectives received information alleging that 29-year-old Tresviante McCampbell would be delivering methamphetamine and pills to a hotel on Lone Oak Road in McCracken County.

When detectives approached him at the hotel, he was reportedly seen throwing a bag which deputies say contained one pound of methamphetamine. Detectives searched him and reportedly located 100 pills containing suspected fentanyl. Detectives say a search of his vehicle resulted in the seizure of $5,214 which is believed to be the proceeds from illegal drug sales.

McCampbell is being charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in fentanyl, and tampering with physical evidence. He was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
