The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says at approximately 10:30 pm Monday, deputies received a complaint of an assault on College Avenue. Deputies say a man was assaulted at an apartment and his shoes and cell phone were stolen. According to police the victim sustained facial injuries and later received medical treatment at a local hospital.
Deputies found the suspect, 23-year-old Christopher Hill of Mayfield at the apartment where the assault happened. The victim's shoes and cell phone were also found there.
Hill was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail on a charge of 1st degree robbery.
