McCracken County Traffic Stop Leads to Two Arrests

A traffic stop in McCracken County Sunday resulted in two arrests.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says deputies stopped a vehicle on a complaint that the driver may be intoxicated. Deputies said the driver, 51-year-old Shelly Abanatha of Paducah, was in possession of methamphetamine. Abanatha was also wanted on a McCracken County warrant. 

Deputies said a passenger, 53-year-old Timothy Dhaillecourt, also of Paducah, was wanted on a warrant out of McCracken County.

Both Abanatha and Dhaillecourt were arrested and charged with failure to appear. Abanatha was also charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.
