According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, on Friday, December 6 at approximately 10:38 AM deputies and drug detectives performed a traffic stop on a vehicle on Irvin Cobb Drive for alleged traffic violations.
Detectives spoke with the driver, 26-year-old Martin Leyva-Garcia, and learned that Garcia's driver's license was suspended. Detectives say that Garcia was alaso found to be in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Garcia was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
Garcia is being charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, improper signal, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
