Officials had said the library would be closed through March 29 in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. But on Monday, officials said the library now tentatively plans to reopen on Monday, April 20. This decision was based on recommendations from the Governor's office and the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives.
As a health and safety precaution, all book drops are closed. Patrons are asked to keep and enjoy their materials at home until the library reopens. No fines will accrue through the end of April.
