At around 2:00 am Thursday, deputies responded to a reported domestic assault at 2728 Pool Road. The caller told police there had been a fight between the residents of the home, 61 year-old William Ashley and his girlfriend, 49 year-old Glenna Wilbourn. Police said the caller told them that Wilbourn had beat Ashley to death with a baseball bat. Deputies said they found Ashley's body lying in front of the home when they arrived.
Police later found a baseball bat they believe to be the weapon used to kill Ashley. Officers arrested Wilbourn and charged her with Murder. She was taken to McCracken County Jail.
