Melber Man Faces Meth, Other Charges

A traffic stop early Monday morning led to the arrest of a Melber man on methamphetamine and other charges.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, deputies stopped 38-year-old Joe Myers at Lovelaceville Road and Mayfield-Metropolis Road for allegedly weaving on the roadway. Field sobriety tests were given and Myers was placed under arrest for DUI.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found methamphetamine, as well as drug paraphernalia, prescription pills and a concealed pistol. 

Myers was additionally charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, prescription not in the proper container and possession of controlled substance, drug unspecified.
