The city of Paducah has released a schedule for events and city services for Memorial Day.

A commemorative Memorial Day event will be held by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 337 tonight at 7pm at Dolly McNutt Plaza.

The Noble Park pool is open on Memorial Day from 11 am until 5 pm. The pool will be closed May 26-29 since most students still are in school, but will reopen for the season from Saturday, May 30 through August 2. 

The Robert Coleman Spray Park at Caldwell Street and Walter Jetton Drive will open Memorial Day. 

Players and coaches with the National Club Baseball Association will be hold a free youth baseball clinic at Brooks Stadium on Memorial Day,  for boys and girls ages 5-14. At the clinic, kids will get tips in hitting, throwing, and fielding from the college baseball players and listen to a speaker teaching life skills.  Registration begins at 10 am with the clinic starting at 10:30 am. Participants will receive a free t-shirt and baseball or softball at registration while supplies last. 

The NCBA World Series continues at Brooks Stadium through Thursday, May 28. 

City Hall and the McCracken County Courthouse are closed on Memorial Day. The City of Paducah Engineering-Public Works Department will not collect brush or limbs on Monday, May 25. The Compost Facility located at 1560 North 8th Street will be closed on Monday, May 25 but will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, May 26. The regular operating schedule for the Compost Facility is Monday through Saturday 7 am -3 pm. The facility accepts limbs, brush, and other yard waste from local residents.  Paducah's trash collection schedule for the Memorial Day week will not change.
