Metropolis Man Faces Rape Charges in Paducah
By West Kentucky Star Staff
MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A Metropolis man was arrested in Paducah Monday on rape charges.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says they were notified last month by Metropolis Police about an alleged rape of a female juvenile. Metropolis Police had already been investigating 47-year-old Nathan Anderson of Metropolis for possible crimes in Illinois, but also learned there may have been crimes committed in Kentucky.

McCracken Sheriff's Detectives believe Anderson committed several sexual crimes against a teen victim in McCracken County over a 14-month period.

Anderson was arrested on Monday, and charged with one count each of rape 3rd degree, sodomy 3rd degree, sexual abuse 3rd degree and unlawful transaction with a minor 1st degree. He was taken to McCracken County Jail.

The Sheriff's Department says more charges are possible, and crimes may have been in other jurisdictions. Detectives believe Anderson committed similar crimes against the girl in at least four different states.
