Murray Man Arrested on Theft Charges
By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - A Murray man has been arrested on theft charges after an investigation.

The Paducah Police Department says they received a call from a local portable building business Friday, indicating they thought an employee had been stealing from them for approximately a year.  The company provided various documents and evidence to law enforcement and believe the theft totaled over $30,000.

After an investigation, detectives spoke with 30-year-old Jared Brewer of Murray who admitted to keeping sales money instead of giving the money to the company.  Officers say Brewer told them it had been going on for several months and had gotten progressively worse.

Brewer was arrested and lodged in the McCracken County Jail and is being charged with theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 but less than $1,000,000.
