Murray Man Charged with Rape in McCracken County

A Murray man has been charged with the rape of a woman in McCracken County.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says that on Nov. 26 a woman who was being treated at a local hospital reported she had been raped early that morning.

The woman told deputies she had been at a home in the Lone Oak area and that she was naked and very disoriented when she woke up.   

Detectives later found the suspect, Jantzen Brickeen and interviewed him. They also interviewed several other people who were at the home that morning and the prior evening.

Detectives said they collected evidence, including articles of clothing, linens, and electronic devices.

Brickeen turned himself in Thursday afternoon at the McCracken County Sheriff's Department. He was arrested and charged with second degree rape and third degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
