PADUCAH, KY - The Cold War Patriots (CWP) Remembrance Quilt is currently on display at The National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky. The CWP Remembrance Quilt honors and remembers the contributions of nuclear and uranium workers. Since 1942, more than 700,000 Americans have worked to maintain our nation's nuclear deterrent. In the process, many have contracted illnesses from radiation or toxic exposure. The Remembrance Quilt project was launched during the National Day of Remembrance Celebration in October, 2011. In an effort to build awareness for the work of these fine Americans, this quilt is traveling across the United States.

 
"We are honored to exhibit this quilt for the Cold War Patriots organization," said Frank Bennett, CEO, The National Quilt Museum. "Their members made an important contribution to our nation's safety." The Remembrance Quilt and information about the Cold War Patriots organization is on display at the Museum until July 31. This display is free and open to the public during regular Museum hours.  
 
 
The National Quilt Museum is a non-profit institution located at 215 Jefferson Street in downtown Paducah, KY. The Museum is open year-round Monday-Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm. The Museum is also open on Sundays 1-5 pm March - November. The National Quilt Museum is ADA compliant.
