The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce monthly Power in Partnership breakfast will feature the annual “Salute to Education” on Thursday, Nov. 3. The featured speaker is the new President of West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) Dr. Anton Reece.

In October of this year, Dr. Reece was appointed as the second President of WKCTC. A native of Barbados, Dr. Reece has served more than 26 years in higher education. He holds a bachelor’s degree in broadcast news and a master’s degree in counseling from Eastern Kentucky University, 24 hours above his master’s from Murray State University and a doctorate in educational psychology from University of Tennessee – Knoxville.

Dr. Reece began his career at the former Paducah Community College (now WKCTC) in 1990 as a minority affairs coordinator and counselor. By the time he joined the administrative team in 2003 at University of Tennessee, Knoxville, he was WKCTC's Dean of Student Affairs and Enrollment.
