The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce has provided some guidelines for everyone to follow as businesses begin to reopen.

Chamber officials say they are looking forward to the reopening of retail businesses on May 20, and are asking that everyone be patient as the reopening process begins. In their effort to help everyone prepare for the reopening, the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce provided the following guidelines:

1) As businesses reopen, follow their rules for social distancing, sanitary procedures, and safety measures.
2) Many businesses have been closed for an extended period of time. Give them time to rebuild their stock and supplies.
3) Some businesses may feel uncomfortable with fully opening, and may remain closed for awhile, or continue with curbside service.
4) Some businesses may not be able to operate at a full person capacity.
5) Service may be a little slower starting out until a business is fully staffed.
6) Be positive, let's work together and support local businesses.
