“It’s like ‘Whose Line is it Anyway’ on steroids with clown make up on!” says Paducah Improv’s Producer, Chuck Tate
The actors will be split into two teams with a referee keeping the match fair. Scenes will be created by audience suggestions and will include gimmicks like, “horn of boredom” which will be blown when a scene is taking a nose dive and the box of random props for the teams to make scenes with. Other forms of scene ideas will come from trivial pursuit cards, horoscopes from various papers and box of fortune cookies. The funniest team will be chosen by the audience by using a clap meter and will awarded an amazing, hand crafted trophy constructed of 24 carat gold, Hornbill Ivory and Amazonian Rosewood.
Appearing for their first time on stage will be the Paducah Improv Student Team. The student team consists of 9 very talented improvisers that auditioned for the group this past March. The team will perform a 30-45 min short for improv jam during the “Quilt City Showdown”
