A Paducah man has been arrested on burglary and theft charges.

McCracken County Sheriff's Department said deputies were called Monday to a home on Bryant Ford Road. Several items were taken from the home, including six firearms.

Detectives searched for a suspect, 18-year-old Christopher Peevyhouse, of Paducah. He was located Wednesday morning during an unrelated traffic stop.

Peevyhouse confessed to taking the firearms, and all six firearms were recovered, including five long guns and a handgun.

Peevyhouse was arrested on one count of first degree burglary, six counts of theft by unlawful taking, (firearm), and two counts of theft by deception. He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
