A Paducah man was arrested Wednesday night on multiple charges.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, a deputy attempted to stop a pickup truck for traffic violations in the area of New Holt Road and Blandville Road. The driver, 33-year-old Michael Lindblad, failed to stop.

Deputies gave chase and Lindblad fled into Ballard County. Ballard County sheriff's deputies were able to successfully deploy spike strips on US Highway 60, near Turner Landing, deflating both of the vehicle's front tires.

The vehicle quickly became disabled and Lindblad was taken into custody without further incident. He was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Lindblad is charged with speeding, reckless driving, fleeing or evading police, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, operating on a suspended or revoked operator's license, failure to produce an insurance card, no registration receipt and no registration plates.

He was also served with two McCracken County bench warrants, as well as a parole warrant. Deputies say more charges are pending for violations that occurred in Ballard County.
