A Paducah man was arrested on numerous drug-related charges following a traffic stop on Friday afternoon.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says just after 4:00 pm, detectives stopped a motorcycle for traffic infractions near the intersection of South 28th and Cornell streets in Paducah. During the stop, detectives learned that the operator of the motorcycle, 38-year-old Rusty Anderson of Trimble Street, had a suspended driver's license and two outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Anderson was placed under arrest. Detectives searched Anderson and his backpack and found more than 15 grams of crystal methamphetamine, baggies, a digital scale, hydrocodone pills and syringes.

Anderson was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail on charges of trafficking in meth, possession of hydrocodone, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating on a suspended license, failure to or improper signal and failure to produce an insurance card.

He was also arrested on warrants for a failure to appear charge in Lyon County and a fugitive from justice charge in Metropolis, IL.
