Paducah Middle Student Makes Verbal Threat

Paducah Police were called Friday after a verbal threat was made by a Paducah Middle School student.

According to a press release from Paducah Public Schools, parents were notified of the incident on Friday.  The school district says a student made a comment Friday morning that "disrupted the educational process." The comment was reported to school administrators, and the student was removed from the classroom.

Statements were taken from students and the incident was reported to Paducah Police.

Wayne Walden, Communications Coordinator for Paducah Public Schools, said in the press release, "We appreciate the work of the Paducah Police, and will continue to work with law enforcement and other professionals to ensure that our students are safe."
