A month long investigation has led to the arrest of two local men on meth trafficking charges.

The investigation began one month ago when detectives received information alleging that 40-year-old James Dickey of Paducah was selling methamphetamine. Detectives say they were able to purchase methamphetamine from Dickey a short time later.

On Sunday, detectives reportedly received information that Dickey would be meeting with another drug dealer for additional methamphetamine. Detectives located Dickey's vehicle on HC Mathis Drive, and conducted a traffic stop. According to detectives, Dickey was driving the vehicle and 32-year-old Marrio Webb of Paducah was in the passenger seat.

A search of the vehicle reportedly resulted in the seizure of a pound of methamphetamine, and money believed to be the proceeds from illegal drug sales.

Dickey is being charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, and Webb is being charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and tampering with physical evidence. They were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
