The celebration will kick off beginning on November 11 with a 'sunrise service' at the riverfront, followed by breakfast at the Julian Carroll Convention Center for Veterans and their families.
Following the breakfast an awards ceremony will take place at 9 AM at the Schroeder Expo Center to honor those receiving the Distinguished Veteran and Patriot Awards. The deadline for nominating a veteran is October 11.
The parade is set to kick off at 11 AM, beginning at the Dolly McNutt Memorial Plaza, traveling along 6th Street to the Expo Center. The deadline to submit an entry to participate in the parade is October 18.
The day will come to a close with the American Hero Concert which is set to take place from 6 until 8 PM, and will feature the Community Concert Band, and the 101st Airborne Sustainment Brigade Army Band.
