Saturday's 60 degree weather made it comfortable for the parade's approximately 100 participants and thousands of onlookers who lined Broadway to be part of this year's Christmas Parade in downtown Paducah. Let it Glow, Let it Glow, Let it Glow was the 2017 theme and Merryman Kemp was the Parade Grand Marshal. Kemp is the founder of the Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center.

The parade wrapped up a day of holiday festivities with the annual Candy Cane Hunt on the Carson Center lawn, globe ornament making at Yeiser, Downtown Farmer's Market Christmas tree sales, artists in the gazebo, shops and one-of-a-kind restaurants open in Paducah's downtown. Santa arrived on his float and then took photos with children in the gazebo following the parade.

Included here are a few pics from the parade for those who may not have been there to see the lighted floats, hear the bands or catch candy that was tossed into the crowd as the parade flowed down Broadway.
