Paducah Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the first annual PSO Summer Music Camp for students, which will be held June 17-21, 2013 at West Kentucky Community and Technical College.

The camp will offer programming for elementary and middle/high school students. Elementary camp will be held from 9 am to noon daily and middle/high school student camp will be held from 9 am to 3 pm each day.

The early bird registration deadlines for the camps are $60 for half day camp and $100 for full day cap through May 17. After that date, the price increases to $75 for half day and $125 for full day.

Divisions of the camp include winds, instrumental jazz, strings and choral music instruction in large and small ensembles for rising 4th  graders through those who have completed grade 11 and entering their senior year. Featured in the camp will be aural music theory/ear training, written theory and master classes for all students with additional private lessons available. High school choral students will also learn the KMEA 2013-2014 All-State Audition piece.

The camp will feature a Summer Showcase on the last day of camp for family and friends.

Included in camp fee will be lunch, snacks, camp T-shirt and tuition. Private lessons will be an additional charge and limited scholarships are available.
