Saturday's Repair Affair event organized by the Midtown Alliance of Neighbors has been delayed due to the threat of rain and colder temperatures, too cold to paint. Organizers are hoping to reschedule for Saturday, May 11.

Repair Affair is a one-day effort by teams of volunteers to help homeowners in need with critical maintenance, weatherization, safety, and accessibility issues. This spring, the program is helping seven homeowners throughout the City of Paducah.

Come lend a hand!  We need general helping hands.  We also still need some skilled folks: particularly carpenters, window glaziers, plumbers, and more.  There is also a bit of work to be done before and after the main work day.

Worker registration begins at 7:30 am on May 11th at Fountain Avenue United Methodist Church. Breakfast will also be served starting at 7:30 am.  (Sausage, biscuits, gravy, fruit, and drinks.)

Sign up to help now by calling Sharon Poat at 270-556-0826.  If you or your group would like to help on a day other than the 4th, that would be great too.  Just call to arrange.
