Romang's Illumination Opening Reception at Yeiser

Local artist John Romang is exhibiting his light box series at the Yeiser Art Center in March, with the opening reception featuring interactive painting installations and a DJ on Saturday, March 2 from 5-7 pm.

The exhibition, Illumination, features back-lit layers of paint, resin and ink mounted and displayed in the dimly lit gallery. During the opening reception, patrons can try their hand at painting a fresh light box for a collaboration of temporary artwork.

It is Romang's goal to create a body of work that engages the viewer to curiously explore and to experience a visual and private interpretation.

"Having interactive work will allow people to have a personal connection with the show," Romang said.

DJ Urban Kobbb, of Paducah, will perform during the opening reception.

The exhibition is sponsored by Hannan Supply Company.
